Mission Statement
Walker Creek Music Camp promotes and preserves traditional American roots music through a biannual music education camp that provides tuition free classes to children ages 6 – 13 years of age through their “Music & More” (M&M’s) program and reduced tuition fees for adults through scholarship and work/trade programs. Donations to Walker Creek Music Camp help ensure that our traditional American roots music education/preservation goals can continue now and for future generations.Your donations support:
WCMC Teacher Concerts
In April 2024, we produced our first teacher concert at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center. The “Irish Spring” concert was a great success and introduced many people to the wonderful Walker Creek Music Camp community/program. Our goal is to present a regular concert series around our spring/fall camps that highlights the amazing musicians who teach at WCMC and raises funds to continue our mission.
Scholarships and work/trade programs
Before receiving our non-profit status in 2024, we were so fortunate to have a dedicated group of regular camp attendees who donated to our scholarship and work trade programs. Their continued generosity over the years made it possible for people of all ages with financial needs to enroll in our classes. Going forward, we strive to expand our donor base and create more affordable opportunities for everyone who desires to attend our music camp.
Please Contact Michael if you would like to discuss:
